. a bright objoct, traveling at a high rate of apeed from
the direction of Barbers Point, Cahu, past Hickam AP
Base, in the direction of Lanikal. Oabu, disappearing
in low clouds covering the Koolaw nountains. The forard
seotion of this objeat annoarud to be of the white bright-

newspaper of general circulation throughout the Territory
of Hawaii, in its Home Edition of 25 December 1950,
carried the folloving

the strange flying machine had plenty of navigator interhone

would judge it cane within 200 yards of re turning. Another aircraft was on
2870 ke. Honolulu Overseas Radio called in and asked if there were other aircraft in
the lionolulu South Port Allen area. I called at 2503352 and osition as at
South Port Allen at 7,000 feet. After landing I discovered o neople
same thing as and had the identical description.'"
2. Confirmation of the sighting is indicated in the following ceived
from the Commander, Ckan AFB, Hawaii:

preliminary report was obtained from two observers indicate that there are at least
ten other witnesses. The Cormander-in-Chief, Pacific Fleet, has received sinilar re-
ports from other observers, one of whom believes the object was meteorite. le bases
his belief on previous observations of meteorites. an investigation is being con-
ducted. rendered as
